New 2WD option for the new compact Range Rover in 2011

Land Rover has announced that it will introduce a 2WD option (in addition to the 4WD derivative) for the new compact Range Rover. On sale in 2011, the 2WD vehicle will emit less than 130 g/km of CO2 – making it the lightest, most fuel efficient Range Rover ever. Looking for drivers to test the UK's first electric MINIs

The search is on for 20 drivers to take part in phase two of a trial to test the UK’s first ever electric MINIs. Phase one of the trial is currently underway, the first 20 MINI E pioneers took ownership of their electric MINIs in December 2009 and are due to hand them back in June. People living in a triangular geographical area between Andover, Oxford and West London will be able to take part in the project. Nissan LEAF priced at under 30,000 Euros

The Nissan LEAF is a compact, zero-emission five-passenger family car that comes fully equipped with air conditioning, satellite navigation, a parking camera, a quick charge socket and innovative smart-phone connectivity. Nissan International SA has announced that the all-electric Nissan LEAF will be priced at under 30,000 Euros (25,641 Pounds) after incentives in most of its European launch markets – about the same as a comparably-equipped diesel or hybrid vehicle. Allied Vehicles has launched two new electric vans and people carriers designed to help companies continue their urban deliveries without contributing to inner city pollution. The eBipper van and ePartner vans and cars provide zero emissions transport, combined with a practical payload and load area based on the already successful Peugeot Bipper, Partner and Tepee models. Renault unveils design of Fluence Z.E. and Kangoo Van Z.E.

Electric vehicles represent a clean-break solution aimed at making CO2 emissions-free mobility in use, except wear parts, available to all.
