Kia Motors (UK) Ltd., is contacting the owners of the 468 cee'd 5-door, SW and 3-door vehicles built between April 1 2008 and March 30, 2009 to arrange for no-cost work to be carried out to replace the brake master cylinder. Kia has identified that up to 468 cee'd models could suffer from insufficient brake force from the master cylinder on vehicles featuring Electronic Stability Programme systems. Kia Motors is extending the benefits of the UK scrappage scheme with the introduction of 7 Year Switch, offering owners of cars over seven years old the chance to trade up to a new Kia, take home a seven year warranty and save up to £2,000 off the list price. Consumers most likely to benefit from the £2,000 car scrappage incentive are those who are buying a small car - such as a city car or supermini – as the scheme will deliver at least a 20% discount if the car’s list price is £10,000 or less.
