At this year's Geneva Motor Show, Land Rover is showcasing the Range_e hybrid technology , the new Range Rover Evoque in both coupe and 5-door derivatives, with Discovery 4 and Range Rover Limited Editions completing the line-up. According to FindsYouCars's survey of the latest 1000 consumer car buying requests, currently less than 1% are opting for hybrid or electric models. Toyota's iQ EV is scheduled to go on sale in the USA in 2012, but Toyota is looking at its potential in other markets, including Europe, Japan and China. Toyota will unveil the RAV4 EV Concept, a new electric vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show next week. The concept marks further progress towards RAV4 EV being brought to market in the USA in 2012. Range Rover: New 2WD option for the new compact Range Rover in 2011

Land Rover has announced that it will introduce a 2WD option (in addition to the 4WD derivative) for the new compact Range Rover. On sale in 2011, the 2WD vehicle will emit less than 130 g/km of CO2 – making it the lightest, most fuel efficient Range Rover ever.
