Mercedes-Benz and smart are preparing for the widespread uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) in the UK by beginning the installation of recharging points across their dealer networks. Nissan Motor Co., Ltd, and Sumitomo Corporation have announced joint plans to initiate a business venture to “Reuse, Resell, Refabricate and Recycle” lithium-ion batteries previously used in electric cars, giving them a “second-life” as energy-storage solutions in markets worldwide.
