Allied Vehicles has launched two new electric vans and people carriers designed to help companies continue their urban deliveries without contributing to inner city pollution.
The eBipper van and ePartner vans and cars provide zero emissions transport, combined with a practical payload and load area based on the already successful Peugeot Bipper, Partner and Tepee models.

The Peugeot i0n zero-emissions electric vehicle will be introduced at the end of 2010. The vehicle, developed in co-operation with the Mitsubishi Motor Corporation (MMC), will offer a zero-emission urban transport solution for private, fleet and local authority users.

According to the latest LPG (liquid petroleum gas) vehicle sales figures from Proton, an increasing number of British motorists are opting out of the volatile petrol car market. The only manufacturer in the UK market to offer an LPG ready car at no extra conversion cost to the motorist, Proton has seen a 375% uplift in sales of its GEN-2 ecoLogic in one month alone – making Proton one of the few manufacturers to increase their sales (2.3%) in May 2009 compared to the same period last year.

Carillion Property Services has saved thousands of pounds worth of fuel and reduced its vehicle emissions by 7% in just six months by adding 200 diesel-engined Peugeot light commercial vehicles to its fleet.
The vans – which include the compact Peugeot Bipper, mid-size Partner and larger Expert, plus full-size Boxer panel vans complete with reversing cameras – have been supplied on a four-year contract hire with maintenance agreement by Carillion Fleet Management.
