Axeon and Jaguar Land Rover South Africa have produced an all-electric version of the iconic Defender model for use in game parks, minimising both environmental and noise pollution. Unlike many electric vehicle battery packs that are positioned in the floor of the vehicle, the Axeon pack has been designed to fit into the vehicle’s engine bay in order to maintain ground clearance and wading height for this unique vehicle.

102EX, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Experimental Electric which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show this week, will be powered by a specially designed battery system – the largest ever for a passenger car – produced by Axeon. The Rolls-Royce is a one-off test-bed, designed to test owner attitudes to alternative power sources to its traditional V12 petrol engine.
